Dilara Savas graduated from the Psychology Department of “Ozyegin University” in 2017 with a success scholarship. During the undergraduate period, she completed her clinical internship at “Be Positive Counseling Center” and her forensic internship at “Istanbul Anatolia Courthouse” in Juvenile Criminal Court. At the same time, she voluntarily studied Sign Language and Disability Awareness at the “Academy of Dreams” for a year and supported people who’s in need.
After completing her undergraduate studies, she got her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from “Bournemouth University” in United Kingdom. Dilara’s master thesis entitled as “The Effect of Mindfulness on Children and Adolescents Diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder” and it finalized with a highest achievement. During her master’s, she worked as a research assistant related to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Social Anxiety and MS (Multiple Sclerosis). Her research in MS published in “Clinical Research in Neurology” co-authored with Simon Thompson. Apart from her research projects, she has participated in the 8-week Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction certificate program at “Bournemouth Mindfulness Centre”.
After her master's degree, she worked as a psychologist at “Psych-key Psychological Counseling Center” in London. She has worked as a child/adult consultant under the supervision of Dr.Hava Drummond. Dilara has established her own initiative which is called “Psychologist London” and provided psycho- trainings to society. At the same time, she worked as a teacher's assistant for children diagnosed with autism in kindergartens in London and continued her volunteer work through informative studies about women who have been subjected to violence at the “Imece Women's Centre ”.
Then, she returned to Turkey and got a Child-Centered Play Therapy education from Dr.Evangeline Munns from the “Institute of Behavioral Sciences”. Simultaneously, she worked as an Experimental Specialist in a research project on children with autism supported by TUBITAK. Currently, she continues her academic studies as a Lecturer in the Psychology Department of MEF University. Dilara accepts child, adolescent and adult clients at the Psychologist London counseling center in London and PERLA Psychology & Research in Istanbul.
